Good, quality ingredients with great service. Tasted like it was made fresh. The menu was standard/traditional Mexican American food but the taste exceeded expectations.
Love this place to grab a burrito to eat at the beach ,, friendly staff , stopped in today with the hubby to grab a carne asada burrito with pinto beans rice and guacamole ... asked hostess to have them cut in half. Order was perfect spot on with flavor. Hostess was friendly as the servers many asked if we were helped super nice ! The salsa is delicious the chip tostado style is a nice touch but the flavors of the burrito the meat is good not greasy or fatty. My only regret is I shared with the hubby lol next time get your own haha that good love taking it over to sunset beach. Thank you super mex great lunch today !!!!

I got one of each flautas beef and chicken plate and it was so good! The portions where just the right amount and the service was fast especially since we ordered to go
I was here yesterday afternoon with 4 friends and sat at the bar circle table. Our server was attentive and on the ball. Greeted us immediately and took our orders quickly. He followed up after our food arrived to make sure we were doing well. I was impressed. The food is always good too.
We've only ordered To Go here. My husband loves their Chunks of Beef which is the closest thing we've found to San Antonio's Chile Colorado that we had on the Riverwalk. Anita's in Oceanside also comes close. I ordered the Shrimp Super Mex burrito but made the mistake of getting green sauce. It was a little too spicy for me because I am extremely wimpy with spice. But I put a ton of sour cream on it when I got home and that cooled it off nicely. Burritos are really big, so for us it's half for dinner and the second half for lunch the next day. Two meals in one! Only drawback is the pick up service. I called my order in on the drive over. When I got there, nobody at the front counter for a good long while. I didn't even see anyone around to flag down. I was pretty sure it was my order sitting behind the counter and yep, it was. So who knows how long it had been sitting there before I got there. Otherwise, all good.
Super tasty food and this location has a fantasic vibe! Heed my warning though...the #1 does not come with rice. Free valet parking service. Faaaaaaaancy!
we came for happy hour and had an absolute blast. The food was delicious. Everyone was super nice and we were in and out very quickly. I cannot complain.
So I was early for my haircut appointment at Harbor Barber, which is in the same center as Super Mex, so I thought I'd step in to grab some lunch. I knew what I was going to order, so I didn't need a menu from the waiter/waitress, but for a Friday afternoon, the service was a bit on the slow side. I knew what to order, and had to wait about 10-15 minutes for the waiter to arrive at my table to take my order, but as I said, I was early for my haircut appointment, so I wasn't in that big of a rush. Now for the food: I ordered the #15, which is the Three Enchiladas combo, which comes with rice and beans. The beans were great (yeah, not as great as the ones at Don Ramon's off Edinger, but they were just as great), and the rice was great, but my enchiladas were perfect. Not too much cheese on top, and there were the perfect amount of beef inside. For the price, it was a little steep, but if you're the hungry type like I am, and you get rice & beans, plus a complimentary side of tostadas and salsa, you get what you paid for.
